Concrete objectives for at the time three years passed

Concrete objectives for at the time three years passed
At our masterŽÕs course, a model for course offering for the training of environmental leaders has been already completed. The trained environmental leaders are expected to find jobs at related industries and to actively participate in their research. During their docorŽÕs course, we assume it is a period when the 1st graduating class is actively contributing to joint researches.

Concrete objectives for at the time five years passed

Concrete objectives for at the time five years passed
At the end of the 5th year, they are expected to complete their courses.
Environmental leaders who are trained at the early days of the program are expected to guide research activities at industries. Joint researches with related industries at a long-span are assumed to be going on. Among such joint-researches, those with university faculties who have gotten positions after completing doctoral courses at Waseda should be included. We aim to make such programs deemed as first-rate and applied to other graduate schools within our university.

Continuing projects after completing the course

Continuing projects after completing the course
After the completion of this project, findings from it should be incorporated into our normal curriculum at our graduate school of environment and energy engineering. Further, they will be applied to other graduate studies and to other majors.
Especially, know-how accumulated from activities of research coordinators and navigators for international students involved in this project are highly applicable to other fields and they are promising as completely new management methods of research funds.

Expected ripple effect

Expected ripple effect
International leaders cultivated in this program will not monopolize energy conservation technologies, productive methods, and business model in their own countries. We aim to train human resources shared by the entire Asia and Africa. Through this strategy, we propose to strengthen the cooperation of technology and science with developing countries in order to solve environmental issues and we further seek to strengthen the base to promote diplomacy of Japanese science and technology.
Also, our project will have a ripple effect on industries; it will improve their international competitive abilities and their aptitude for research and exploration. In this way, our project will support productive industries and recycling industries which are well-advanced field of our country.
